Pelvic Pain
This can be from a complex origin. It is important to find the primary causes and treat the root of the problems, rather than only working on reduction of the symptoms. This is also multi-faceted including musculoskeletal, emotional, and psychological aspects. The pain can be manifested into different areas, such as pelvic floor muscles pain, coccydynia (tailbone pain), Sacroiliac joint (SI joint), Symphysis Pubic joint (SP joint) pain, and more. Pelvic pain is also closely linked with back pain. Often, we see patients who also have referred pain, where the pain goes down to the legs.
- Tailbone pain – Coccydynia: This can be for many reasons. It is possible to reduce and even eliminate this with a proper treatment plan. Pelvic Floor Muscles are sling like a structure, which connects from the back of the symphysis pubis to the coccyx (tail bone). This sometimes takes longer than other kinds of pain problems. It is also related to the length of time that the patients have been suffering.
