Abdominal muscle separation
This is also called Diastasis Rectus Abdominis (DRA). This can most often occur in the postpartum population as the abdominal wall has been stretched and stressed during the pregnancy. However, this can also happen for male population. After postpartum, there is a spontaneous close up of the gap with some time, but this isn’t always the case. We use visceral manipulation and exercises to close the gap and increase the tension of the tissues of the gap.
